Matt Geiler, a 2005 graduate of Chicago’s prestigious Second City Conservatory, has won numerous awards for his stand-up comedy, musical improv and television work, including being named Best Comedian and Best Host at the Best New Talent Awards competition in Los Angeles. Matt’s comedic gifts, rare talent for musical improvisation, and penchant for the absurd have garnered him a variety of work in television, film, and new media while solidifying his reputation as an alternative hero of the underground comedy scene. When he’s not working on a film or television project, Matt maintains a steady schedule of comedy appearances and voice-overs for film, tv, and radio.
Kimberly Furness has worked professionally in both Los Angeles and Chicago on stage and in television and film. She attended Idyllwild Arts Academy in Southern California and The Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (CCM) and received her BA in Mass Communications and Theatre at St. Ambrose University. She studied with noted acting coach, Ivanna Chubbuck and has been in over 60 stage plays, 8 films, including SPLATTER, and numerous commercials both on camera and voice over. Kim is the founder of THE CURTAINBOX theater company, which she founded in Los Angeles and moved to her new home in eastern Iowa.
Clint Curtis has appeared on stage or in front of a camera for over 25 years. He studied acting at Harvard before making a transition to North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received his BA in Drama. He can be seen in the movies Deep Rising, Blade, Good Burger and numerous indie releases, as well as 4 films shot in 2009; Splatter, Aaseamah's Journey, Collapse and Fertile Ground. He is also featured in the movie 16 to Life. In his spare time, Clint enjoys spending time with his family, reading, writing and bartending at a music venue in Des Moines, Iowa.
Justin Marxen began his film career at the age of fifteen when he began making films with his friends. Since then, he has appeared in over 20 independent films. In 2005, he was the stand in for Sean Astin on The Final Season. He has won the Iowa Motion Picture Association Best Supporting Actor award twice. His great love is entertaining audiences and his prolific drive to act is fueled by his belief in collaboration and learning more about his craft at every opportunity. Justin credits his family and fiancee for his past and upcoming successes.
Candice Rose began her life as an entertainer at a very young age, hosting parties in Hollywood with her parents, and entertaining became a permanent fixture of her life. She now lives in Chicago, where she works as an actor. She has appeared on TV shows such as CSI, JAG, ER, Law & Order, The District and Strong Medicine as well as in numerous feature films. Most recently, she played a Young Ellen Burstyn in the feature film "Lovely, Still."
Max Nelson is a native of Ames, Iowa. He’s appeared on stage as Tiny Tim in the Iowa State University Theater production of “A Christmas Carol,” on the jumbo-tron in video for ISU Cyclone Athletics men's basketball, and in film as Cody in “Splatter.” Max credits seeing the young boy Simba in the Broadway touring production of “The Lion King” as his inspiration to try acting himself. Besides acting, Max enjoys reading, building with Legos, playing sports, and collecting comics. |
